Breakdancerul algerian Lilou ia pentru a doua oara titlul Red Bull BC One. Nu pot sa ma abtin sa nu arunc o privire inapoi cand era lumea mai mica si vorba despre muzica, stil, strada, cultura si mixul dintre ele[toti tipii aia plini de umor si atitudine emanand atata distractie] si sa nu compar cu ce se-ntampla acum, unde central sta titulara competitia alaturi de joc si skilluri cat mai forte. Plus media care suprasolicita "popularul" cu retete de "keep it alive".

Algerian breakdancer, Lilou, won his 2nd title on Red Bull’s annual break competition, The BC One. Can't help on not looking back in the day when the world was smaller and was much about music, street style, style culture, street culture and a mix in between[all those guys exhaling humour and attitude making it all clear on how fun it could get] and compare to what "Now" reflects: developed skills on a battle ground. A lot about media-sort-of-pop just to keep it alive.

"Technics is dead" - un titlu care a fulgerat un elf peste suprafata Retelei. Asa ca..Daca va numarati printre fericitii stapani ai unei perechi de Technics SL-1200 sau Technics SL-1210, atunci cu siguranta o sa fiti si mai atenti la vestea asta: Panasonic Corp. care inainte spuneau asta anunta ca va opri manufactura pentru cele doua modele din Februarie 2010. Va mira vestea? Oricum nu e asa grav avand in vedere diversitatea modelelor de platane oferite de Technics, in plus ne si asteptam oarecum la modificari sub acest aspect.

Punk's not dead, neither drum&bass, but Technics on the other hand put a cross over these two turntable models we'll so turn to treat as collectables from now on: SL-1200 and SL-1210. Yes the much apreciated direct drive turntables that made a diffrence for artists like Roc Raida, Q-Bert and so many djs out there will cease to be manufactured[as Panasonic Corp announced] starting February next year. We still have left the other models in the Technics menu, yet this should be called a historical moment.

Adam F, fondatorul si coproprietarul labelului britanic Breakbeat Kaos revine in atentie cu ceva consistent. Stim ca Adam a colaborat in 2001 cu legendarul Redman pentru albumul intitulat sugestiv KAOS - The anti-acoustic warfare alaturi de alte nume cu rezonanta pentru scena de hip hop worldwide. In 2009 istoria se repeta , insa bunatatile abia scot capul la orizont pentru 2010; anul ce vine se arata deja interesant. Deocamdata abia ia avant Adam F & Redman - Shut The Lights Off[the making]. Enjoy!

Adam F turned out to be - no doubt - one of the most important figures involved directly into the development of the jungle/drumandbass scene since the very early begining. He is known as the founder and co-owner of the UK independent record label Breakbeat Kaos, aswell as the co-owner of major drum and bass website Dogs on Acid, which we often hear of right here among the blog news.
The multi Gold and Platinum disc winner, Adam F, got together with Redman back in 2001 on a collab for his album KAOS - The anti-acoustic warfare along side other prolific names such as L.L Cool J, Beenie man, De la soul and many more.
Aparently Adam recently hooked up - again :) -with his favourite lyricist Redman and this is just one of the many delights showing on the horisons for 2010.

If the barriers between the musical genres started the meltdown count aprently, well it sure did begin a long time ago due to such producers showing a great taste trough their vision. Important figures like Evol Intent said it already, it's an Era Of Diversion. But whats most important rather than bothering its the "speed" factor added on top of this diversity.
