AUDIO-VISUAL ART + VJ CULTURE o am pe primul loc. Edited by Michael Faulkner/D-FUSE in 2006 contine si un DVD de 130 minute cu exclusive performances + films si cateva docus despre VEE-JAY Nights. Eu am carticica asta acasa, am vazut DVD-ul si mi-a placut, dar bineinteles ca l-am pierdut. fock that! Aceasta minunata carte ne spune despre the roots of vjing si ne prezinta cateva evenimente cum ar fi concertele unor British industrial groups de prin 70s(ex. Cabaret Voltaire) care foloseau imagini socante, de obicei pornography dar mai era folosit si footage from Nazi concentration camps, asta doar ca sa dea o greutate ideologiei in care credeau ei. Putin cam fucked up as zice. Sa nu va vina idei! Plus ca aflam mai multe infos si despre road show-ul lui Andy Warhol & Paul Morrissey, un spectacol total continand mixed music, theatre, film and performance cu numele de Exploding. Plastic. Inevitable. Grafica e foarte OK, ilustratiile continute prezinta live performance-uri all over the world, from East Coast to Tokyo + Japan, sunt prezentati si intervievati alot of VJs. Detalii si despre hardware, software si VJ Set UP. Foarte multe chestii interesante pe care un VJ(si nu numai!) ar trebui sa le stie. Puteti da o privire si achizitiona pe amazon.co.uk.

Totally offtopic: Dintr-una-ntr-alta am ajuns pe site-ul publisher-ului Feral House unde am gasit cartea THE COMPLEAT MOTHERFUCKER - A History of the Mother of All Dirty Words .

Totodata as vrea sa mentionez cateva DVD-uri released by Addictive TV: Mixmasters #1(2002) continand 'a compilation of music and visuals from DJs, VJs, music producers and audiovisual artists from around the world' si Audiovisualize(2005) film-making, digital art and music videos mixed by Addictive TV. Acestia sunt 2 tipi din Londra foarte tari care au iesit in 2004 si 2006 number 1 VJs in the world in VJ poll-ul realizat de catre DJMag, ei fiind si oamenii din spatele Optronica - the visual music and VJ festival from London. so better check this out!
